AXE (THey/Them)

Axe (they/them) has been training Vancouver’s trans community since 2023 and is proud to present Trans First Fitness. After years working in reality tv, they fused their fitness and gender journeys into a passion to create safer spaces for trans people to build strength in every way. Their background is in strength training and bodybuilding. While no stranger to weight loss or muscle gain they are fully body/fat-positive, their focus is on your comfort, confidence and euphoria in your body.

Addison (He/HIM)

Addison Finch (he/him) is a queer, transmasc trainer & pole teacher working in so-called Vancouver, BC. He started his movement practice in his mid 20’s, as part of recovery post-gender affirming surgery, and is an ACE Certified personal trainer.

Addison started pole dancing in 2021, and teaching it in 2023. In doing so, he met a lot of folks who were excited to finally find a form of movement and exercise that worked for them - one that they enjoyed!

Passionate about making movement accessible, Addison has experience working with folks with injuries, chronic illness, and fluctuating ability levels. His approach to training centers clients’ experiences, helping them to set goals and work towards activity that feels affirming, exciting, and consistent.

ANNIE (SHE/HER)

My name is Annie (she/her) and I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, currently enrolled in a program at Capilano University to obtain a diploma as a Physiotherapist Assistant.

I’m a Queer and Black Woman who loves being active, and on personal note that’s relevant to why I do what I do, I’ve lost a significant amount of weight since 2018 and I aim to offer training that is body inclusive, positive and trauma informed.

I focus on rehabilitation, functional (everyday) movement, longevity, strength and conditioning and ensuring that you can make the most of your physical ability, for as long as possible!

ATSE (THEY/THEM)

Atse Beyene has been enthusiastic about fitness since their early teens and is captivated by the potential of the human body. Their passion is to help people fall (and stay!) in love with their bodies, with movement, and with discovering just how much they are capable of.

No stranger to the ebbs and flows in confidence and capacity that show up over time, and the discouragement they can cause, they emphasize long-term progress through adaptability, self-compassion, and a healthy dose of hype!

They are a pole dance instructor and are in the process of becoming a BCRPA registeerd Personal Trainer. Whether it be through lifting weights or movement practice, for general health or to achieve specific goals, Atse is excited to be a part of your fitness journey!

KENZIE (SHE/HER)

Kenzie Dunn (she/her) is a dance informed personal trainer who believes movement should feel welcoming, empowering, and even a little fun. She creates supportive spaces where people can build strength, reconnect with their bodies, and grow confidence - without pressure, judgment, or diet culture. Her work is grounded in body neutrality, helping clients focus on what their bodies can do rather than how they look. With a background in dance and community care, Kenzie especially loves working with dancers, trans and queer folks, and people in larger bodies. Her approach blends strength, mobility, and body awareness to help clients move with more ease, confidence, and less pain. Sessions are designed to meet people exactly where they are - creating a calm, friendly environment where movement feels accessible, sustainable, and genuinely enjoyable!

Independent Trainer

NAT (THEY/HE)

Nat (they/he) wants movement to be a treat, not a chore. They work with people of all abilities on all kinds of skills, from (re)introducing activity, weight training, sport-specific training, and lots more. Nat is a certified personal trainer with a background in kinesiology, and holds a National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Competition-Development certification for long-term athlete development.

RAF (HE/HIM)

Raf (he/him) considers fitness through self-love instead of self-hate as the foundation to his approach. As a trans man, he has experienced the anxiety and dysphoria that disconnects many people from their bodies, so his collaboration with clients comes with compassion and encouragement. He is currently a BCRPA registered Weight Trainer and Fitness Student. While he is completing his requirements to be a registered Personal Trainer, Raf is happy to discuss options with folks interested in training with him.
